Set a static IP address for your Lightsail instance

In this article, I will explain how to configure a static IP address for your Lightsail instance so that your domain points to this IP address. Additionally, I'll guide you through ensuring that Virtualmin is properly configured to manage domains and subdomains on your Apache2 server.

Fixes and tips after upgrading from Tiki Wiki version 24 to Tiki 25

After we enjoyed a very solid Tiki24 with tested and improved features the Tiki Wiki team planned and started adding many additions or critical and complex update.
And what a better time than the 20th Tiki Wiki anniversary to release Tiki 25(https://doc.tiki.org/Tiki25), a future version that will lead the way to Tiki 27, the next LTS (Long Term Services) of this web based application generator !
In this article I will explain the different changes and adaptations I had do to have a previous Tiki24 website to work using the Tiki 25 version. Those are mainly visual changes due to upgrading from Bootstrap4 to Bootstrap5.

Virtual TikiFest 2020

The Tiki Community will join together for a Virtual TikiFest June 2020.
As it has never been done before, for this virtual TikiFest we are trying a kind of new concept — with no traveling involved, there are no constraints regarding locations or timing.

Let me wish you a happy new year for 2019.
There will be a lot of news concerning Tiki Wiki, WikiSuite and some strategic change to improve my the services I provide. I will publish them in time but in the meantime, enjoy, take care and share happiness with your loved ones.

Tiki 18.2 LTS (long term service) has been released !

Following a first wave of corrections and small improvement from Tiki 18 to 18.1 the Tiki community announced the release a new version for it main flagship.

Based on first test and install this version is the state of the art of Tiki and fixes dozens of regressions, add technical enhancements and visual improvement while preserving Tiki integrity and continuous compatibility. It is also part of a security updates back-ported to Tiki 15.7 and Tiki 12.14. This release was led by Roberto Kirschbaum and John Bradley with the help of other members of the community. It is strongly suggested to update your Tiki !

Tiki 18.1 has been released (am I’m back to my blog !)

The Tiki community announced the latest stable release - 18.1. This update includes a number of fixes since the initial 18 release, as well as code and feature improvements. It includes critical security fixes thanks to the very active Tiki security team that have also backported to all maintained Tiki versions - Tiki 15.6LTS, Tiki 12.13LTS and Tiki 17.2. Get Tiki 18.1 or the update for the version you are using at the Tiki download page.

Tiki 17.0 has been released

The Tiki Community is pleased to announce the latest stable release - Tiki 17.0 aka Zeta Boötis. This update includes many new features and code improvements, as well as security fixes. Tiki 17, originally scheduled for an April 2017 release but pushed back for extra fixes and enhancements, brings a number of significant new features including support for modern favicons, password blacklists, and a new method for annotations.

New external libraries integrated as features include H5P, the open source platform for creating, sharing, and reusing interactive HMTL5 content; CasperJS, a browser navigation scripting and testing utility written in Javascript for PhantomJS or SlimerJS; and Exposé IDS (intrusion detection system).

Feature advancements include a massive improvement in PDF generation via mPDF, tracker additions and enhancements including a more versatile user selector field type, typography enhancements based on PHP SmartyPants, and a number of new wiki plugins.

For the most polished and feature-complete Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware experience, an upgrade to Tiki 17.0 or new installation as a first Tiki website is highly recommended!
